I enjoyed a hot salad which I never heard of before and a bowl of cream of spinach and cream of carrot soup. This soup was half green and half orange! Not only was the food good, this placed served the best mojito I ever had. Francisco and Oscar are top waiters and took the time to answer any and all of our questions. This is a must visit place.
Asked where to go for lunch while in a jewelry store that our driver took us to. Both driver and owner of store suggested this place as the best restaurant . Ha! I am pretty sure all of these people are in cohoots and getting a kickback. My fault for not looking at TA first. I am a foodie and want to eat authentic food indigenous to where I am traveling. First clue when walking in, at lunch time, we were the only customers. Next clue, the menu: 4 choices, all inclusive. Choice of: Pork chop, chicken, or beef all served with mashed potatoes and steamed restaurants still do that? vegetables. 4th choice: enchiladas. We should have left at that point, but we were in a time crunch. Enchiladas were okay and all the food on the plate was lukewarm at best cheese wasn 't even melted . Pork chop was mostly chewy and rest of the plate was bland. My advice, go somewhere else.
We stayed there twice during our stay, once for breakfast and once for lunch. The food is good, the view of the Zocalo is wonderful and the service was very good. Very economical. The pizza we had was very good and cost about $10.00 for a big one. Very clean and beautiful toilets. Would highly recommend.
You also have English menus. The waiters can speak decent English and the prices are ok. (Cheap compared to American standards. We have a table directly overlooking the Zocalo, while a show went on. It's big with many tables and the food was good. Howard S.
El lugar es hermoso, tiene una vista sobre Taxco presiosa. La comida que fue del menu del dia no era tan rico. Los enchiladas y la guarnicion estaban ya frios. La compañera que habia pedido chuleta estaba duro.
