I'll lead with saying, best tamales in the county. I ordered tacos as well, they brought me meat in a soft corn shell... Its kinda like, dress your own taco with whatever you want here. The steak wasn't fresh, it's like the same meat they use for everything. That part was disappointing... I was expecting some like sliced medium rare skirt or flank steak and it was just chopped well done steak from some unknown cut of beef (I hope) with a glossy grey hue to it. Food is relatively cheap, this is my second time here. Last time everything was just OK and this time much the same. They seem to take pride keeping the place clean. Still, I have no reason to come back. It's just ok. You can get just ok just about anywhere. Unless you're in the mood for a Tamale, than I suggest you get one here.
Just WOW, how in heaven can the owner run this business? All of the Aguas frescas were rotten and made me sick, all not just one flavor, waited 35 minutes for my food and never was made meanwhile all of the 4 waitress were sitting in a booth chit-chating, we stood up and left, the waitress excuse was this: I'm sorry but the cook is mad/upset and didn't want to make our food!!! Unbelievable, and to put the cherry on top it seems that someone lives in the premises as there is a room next to the restroom and they had underwear hanging to dry, definitely will be making a report to DHEC. YOU BEEN WARNED
I hadn’t got around to writing a review yet but if you have not tried La Reata Authentic Mexican Restaurant you need to. Everything is incredible. Billie and I had our reception there almost a month ago exactly and they handled our party of 40ish Incredibly. None of our guests arrived quite at the same time but it did not phase them! One of the servers was sweet enough to get my daughter a plate of strawberries they use for margaritas when she begged. It’s a small gesture, but meant a lot. The small things are what matter to me and I can tell they matter to them to. Every part of our plates were delicious and the margaritas were also IYKYK! Best chimichanga around and don’t skip dessert!
Ate there tonight. Staff was nice but food was horrible. Ordered California burrito with chicken and beef and the meat was so tuff could not eat it. Left about 3/4 of the burrito and told waitress couldn’t eat it. She still charged for it. Went back during the summer and over the salsa bar was something that looked like a sticky fly strip. Couldn’t eat my food then but was talked back into going tonight. WILL NOT be back!!! When it first opened years ago it was delicious! Don’t know what happened but don’t waste your money or time!!
