Whataburger - Tempe

When my order arrived, I was disappointed to find that the burger didn't look very appetizing. There were no signs of green chili, which made me question whether I had accidentally ordered the wrong item. Upon closer inspection, I lifted the top bun and it seemed as if the person responsible for adding the green chili had just come from a LaCroix factory—there were only a few tiny pieces scattered across the burger, leaving most bites bland and lacking in flavor. The burger itself was rather dry, but fortunately, the spicy ketchup rescued the meal. The bites that did include chili were enjoyable, indicating that there is potential for improvement. On a more positive note, the onion rings were delicious and full of flavor. However, the true standout of the meal was definitely the Dr. Pepper shake.

I recently had the opportunity to check out the new Whataburger, and really, who doesn't love Whataburger? I'm excited that there's now a location nearby. The service was a bit slow, which is understandable for a new restaurant as the staff gets used to things. However, everyone was very friendly, and my order was perfect.

I have to say, despite the poor reviews of their other locations, this one truly deserves praise. What a fantastic meal! The gravy was full of flavor, the burgers came out piping hot, and the fries were still delicious even after I brought them home. This was the best meal I've had from a WB in a long time! I can't quite put my finger on what makes this place special, but they are definitely doing things right. Great job, team! Keep it up!
