We had to wait an hour due to a bulb blowing in the kitchen where our food was situated but believe me when it did arrive it certainly was worth waiting for. There was six of us and we all agreed that we would come back again. In fact we have booked again for January when there will be 10 of us. I am so looking forward to it. We'll done The Courthouse
This pub was bought by the community a couple of years ago. They have gradually brought it back to being a thriving little pub. The decor is clean and they had a wood burner blazing on a cold winter’s day which made it more inviting. There’s a brand new extension which is wheelchair accessible from the car park. This entrance leads to the toilets and a disabled Radar toilet accessible at all times. Don’t expect food every night but do expect a warm welcome and lots of great ales and gins. There’s also a monthly events calendar. This month there was a quiz, a bingo night, a visiting pizza van, a vinyl night, a Sunday dog walk, live music and also an open mic night and on Friday evenings there’s a small bar menu on offer for only £7.50 a meal. It seems that this pub knows what their local community wants and are delivering it. Well done!
It was our first time visit to this lovely restaurant. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left it was brilliant service. Greeted with a warm welcoming smile, taken to our table straight away and seen by lovely attentive staff. The food was absolutely delicious, my friend and I had the beef and truffle pie with mash, veg and a side jug of red wine jus. Delicious. We then had to go for a dessert, mine was apple crumble with custard and my friend had the crème brûlée. Equally delicious. This will be the first of many visits to come. Thank you Megan you did your employer proud.
Food, Drink and atmosphere is excellent although there is one member of young staff who stood by the bar, chatting in detail about her love life (many names where used) and had the laugh that could break glass, the other staff were very hard working, hopefully next time I visit she won’t be working
A few friends, we went to the Cross Inn, Gt Bromley for the night. Fantastic atmosphere with friendly staff and clientele. This night was special as Sammy B was performing live in a small friendly country pub. Singing a range of popular music across the decades. And at £3. Per pint and shorts equally as cheap the whole evening was great value for money and I am looking forward to the next night at this community pub. Big thank you to the landlady.
