This restaurant in the neighborhood of Pirámide de Teotihuacan is a beautiful place where you can find good Mexican food. I recommend Rabbit with Chipiltin sauce, a sharp one.

After a long morning tour on the Pyramid site we were looking for lunch before we returned to the city and found this place. This was the better option compared to everything else that was within walking distance. The service was great, the prices were very affordable and it was a really clean and pleasant atmosphere.

Several restaurants are close to most gates with most simple food stands of Gate 2. We went a little further to El Ranchito, which has seat outside its beautiful garden. Prices are slightly higher, but still reasonable for simpler dishes. It is a great place to relax after you walk around all day.

I'm always suspicious and doubtful of restaurants in tourist zones but this place is amazing which says a lot after a week with family friends who live in Puebla. Our large group pretty tried all the major platters and molcajetes, each of which can be split by two people. But no matter what you order, make sure you include the stuffed poblano peppers. They're a Puebla tradition but they're done very well here.
