Sunday special rotates but thats the day to get amazing chicken and dumplings. They sell out so go early! Favorite thing is the huge choice of vegetables, something hard to find where we live on Northern Virginia. These are all the things we grew up on in the South...carrot salad, butter beans, shoepeg corn, fried okra, etc. Food is cooked fresh. Only problem is the desert selection. The have the day 's choices listed but almost every time I try to order something it has been sold out. Asked why they just didnt take the item off the board but supposedly they cant . Just dont get excited when you see the awesome listnof pies and cobblers :
A lot of people look for a sit down restaurant for a homemade breakfast instead of the commercial companies. This place has great service and food and the staff is always pleasant it’s a great place to eat only a mile off I-20 on Lee Road. It’s made to order and they accommodate and adjust for the kids too. I have eaten here mostly for lunch and love the country fried steak with fries. But carried my wife with me for breakfast the other day and she loved it as well.
No longer faithful customer. Sick of excuses for bad milk and orange juice. Bad excuse for cold toast and no sharp knife.
Breakfast and service was excellent. Great biscuits. Parking, close to I-20 east and west bound. About 5 miles from Arbor Place Mall.
I found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and decided to try it out. It's a local diner with all of the down home comfort foods. We went for breakfast. I had the country fried steak and eggs w/ hash browns and toast. My son had waffles and bacon. The waffles remind me of Waffle House's. Very filling. Prices are reasonable. Service was good. I can't wait to go back and try the catfish!
