Staff were unsociable when serving and when me and friends tried to sit upstairs a member of staff shouted at us to inform us upstairs was closed. This made me and my friends feel rather embarrassed in-front of other customers. The only benefit was my ice cream.
Had breakfast here both days on our trip to Penarth. Tasty sausage or bacon roll that they can heat up and also nice coffees. We had the Bakewell tart and Victoria sponge too. Would recommend, lovely views. Staff all very friendly and good ambiance.
Enjoyed a meal of muffin and sausage, scone and clotted cream, coffee, etc. A bright and clean cafe with seating upstairs and outside. Prices were fine and they had a wide selection of home baking. Staff were friendly and the food was brought to our table.
Ordered 2 coffees only to be told it was card only. Told them you lost a sale and walked out. Rude staff as well.
A friend and I walked here one cold, wet and windy morning, taking her dog for a walk along the esplanade and pier and then inside the Waterloo Tea cafe for brunch. Greeted by a very friendly member of staff, we placed our order and found a table. We both chose the poached eggs on sourdough with spinach and hollandaise sauce. My friend had an Americano with hot milk, I chose the hibiscus tea as it’s my favourite. The bill came to £19, which is a little on the pricey side, but our whole experience was good and positive so i didn’t begrudge paying. We look forward to returning soon.
