Frying Scotsman - Torbay

This was our first and last visit to The Frying Scotsman. The fish was not fresh and appeared unappetizing. We only consumed it because it had already been purchased.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times and the food is consistently excellent - well-cooked, well-presented, and hot. The staff are accommodating and friendly. In my opinion, it is the best fish and chip shop around.

The service at this restaurant is good, but I have had the fish and chips several times and the fish is usually overcooked and chewy while the chips are not cooked enough. I like to support local businesses, but there are better places to eat in the area. Some people have complained about the prices, but I find them to be on par with other restaurants in the area.

Having not long arrived at the nearby holiday park thought we would try the local chippy.Had fish and chips 2 times we over priced to much batter on the fish and chips were hard and crispy not the best

Dry chips obviously been in the heater cabinet for a long time. Fish was two separate pieces battered together. £21 for 3 fish and chips?
