Delhi Bistro - Toronto

The Delhi Bistro is our go-to whenever we order in Indian food. You can order on-line, the food is consistently delicious, arrives hot, well wrapped, and arrives when they say it will arrive. (Caution: delivery times are long but they're up front about that. Excellence takes time.)

This was our first visit here. We ordered the appetizer sampler, followed by sides of rice, garlic and butter naan, and spinach with cheese. For our mains we had Tandoori Chicken and the Chicken Tikka Angara. The food was all really fresh, perfectly prepared, and served piping hot, as it should be. I loved my Delhimartini. They have small but good selections of wines and beers, too. See my photos for the food. Service was attentive, and friendly. Not one complaint here. This ranks among the best Indian food we have had in Toronto.

All the items on the menu that we have tried, including the curries, butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, aloo ghobi, samosas, naan of an excellent quality, beautifully spiced and served with a variety of sauces. When you want the best in Indian cuisine, choose this restaurant.

Ordered delivery from this place twice as we live in the area. The food is average, nothing that's memorable or stands out. The last time we ordered it took 90 minutes for delivery, which really is unacceptable. We ordered early, at 5:30pm on a Friday to avoid lengthy delivery times and unfortunately it made no difference. The butter chicken was okay, but we've had much better at a number of other Indian restaurants. The rice was clearly at least a day old and has been reheated, not fresh. Don't bother with this place, there are too many other great Indian food options in the city.

Impeccable flavours and smells, delicious food and excellent customer service. We got the chef's platter (appetizer), mango lassi, butter chicken, beef biryani, topped with Chai tea. As people who have been and eaten in Delhi, this is the best Indian food we've had in Toronto!
