However, upon further tasting, I noticed that the middle of the beef was slightly undercooked and tough to chew. This made it feel like I was battling with beef tendons, affecting the overall taste. Other aspects of the meal were enjoyable, but we did not agree with the preparation method of the main dish mentioned above.
I finally made it here, the last time I came they were doing renovations. This is their lunch special it's very delicious. The atmosphere transport you back to Japan. The only thing I was sad about is that they're out of bread for the sandwiches.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat and narrow entry, small wheelchairs and walkers will fit. If you use a cane it is a good entrance way.
I ordered the Black Angus Sirloin Gyukatsu Zen, which came with severeal options of sauces, bowl of rice, and miso soup. The gyukatsu has that firm and fine texture, and it was very rich in flavour. I do recomend this! The staff was very nice, and they were quick in my requests!
Fabulous food. I really don't get the other comment. First, they have options for all price points from budget to boutique restaurant level, so one cannot really say that this place is overpriced or overhyped. Second, the meat is nowhere near chewy, instead one hardly needs to chew. They actually maintain an impressive rare that looks raw but is actually not oozing with juice. And the service is impeccable. I would say this place is underrated for having such good deals.
This Japanese restaurant is truly authentic! The servers are friendly, and the restaurant is clean and bright. The food is tasty, with a unique twist as they serve all-beef katsu instead of the traditional pork. They offer a variety of beef cuts, as well as options for chicken and fish as mains. We opted for the Sirloin Juu, which had a nice texture and was crispy on the outside. The miso soup, salad, and Onsen egg served alongside were delicious additions. The meal was reasonably priced at $25 and left us feeling satisfied. Don't forget to sprinkle some ground sesame on your rice for an added flavor boost! Non-meat eaters will also enjoy the crispy Aji Fry. The only downside was the quality of the rice, which was a bit dry. It would have been better if they offered Japanese rice as an option. Despite this, the overall dining experience was enjoyable. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit! Just be aware that the surrounding area may not be the safest, especially at night.
