I would recommend any vegan eating here to avoid the mock meat menu items and simply go with sweet and tofu as the themes I have heard are replaced by the real flesh in the regular mock meat. the food and the service were good. I don't know if I'd go back. It's hard to trust a place when you hear that you're so messed up. updated by previous review on 2022-03-20
From this place enough time to finally try! the atmosphere from the outside to the face, next to the cabbagetown street landscape, made it straight from a gilmore girls scene. the food inside has not disappointed! my bf and I ordered both the pad thai and finished every last bite. the sitting places allow people to observe how they enjoy their meal. Apart from starting a slower service, this place is a must if they go Thai and through the opposite.
The service for dine in is amazing! super friendly staff and they are all very good about menu options and allergy info. the crispy boar is a dry one than I expected, but the fried noodles are tasteful their own! The pineapple smoothie sections are great and very interchangeable. they would also try their new appetizers!
We ordered three dishes from maya bay thai on carlton, and young we were surprised. their dishes were more delicious than any other Thai dishes that we had tasted in toronto for over 25 years. we had to wait for about 15 but that was because the cook took time to cook the meal properly with all fresh ingredients. we both held the midst of the meal to comment on the superior quality of the plate. we are not related to the cook nor have we ever met. If you like authentic Thai cuisine, this is a place you don't want to miss. many thanks for their care and dedication.
Great drinks! great service! the mango **** was really good, so I was surprised when the pineapple **** was even better! and I usually don't like pineapple drinks. the crab meat was perfect with fine notes of cocosnus in the rice to go with the crab meat and fresh zilantro. the soft shell crab was probably the biggest I ever had! the chili and salt fried pork bell was also really good! very rich and heavy, so not for everyone. especially if they don't like full fat from the pig booze. the added egg yolk makes it even richer, but went perfectly with the teller! would definitely recommend and will be back!
