The restaurant has a fantastic staff and the food is exceptional, especially the seafood plate which is offered at a great price. The tiramisu was outstanding, and the house wine exceeded expectations.
Piazzetta Trattoria is a small restaurant that makes great use of space with strategically placed tables to accommodate a good number of diners. In the back corner, a large wood burning oven adds warmth and entices customers to try their delicious pizzas. The Calabrese pizza, priced at $15, features a thin, crispy crust loaded with high-quality toppings that don't make the pizza soggy. The slices of salty Calabrese salami, briny green olives, and chili flakes provide bold flavors. Additionally, a trio of chili sauces adds even more heat for those who love spicy food.
Look, like many Italian restaurants in Toronto, the service is horrible...On the flip side, the food is delicious and the atmosphere of the place really nice.Worth a visit, but give yourself some time.Recommended: The pizza, grilled calamari, the beer, pasta with grilled prawns.
Eglinton West Location. I wanted to try their signature pizza.I was not disappointed, actually I think this is one of the best thin crust pizzas in town! Bet it 's because of their stone pizza oven.I got a custom made Margherita with fresh chopped tomatoes and extra cheese: awesome!I was not hungry but wanted to try their desserts and choose a 'Sicilian crepe '; a house-made mint-chocolate crepe filled with chocolate ice cream and topped with whipping cream and chocolate drizzle: Simple yet delicious. This is a great place to go to, in the Upper Village, conveniently located a couple of blocks from Eglinton W. subway station, so no excuses, everybody can get there even in winter.Plus they do deliver (free of charge); it 's great for those blue rainy days, when one is craving for something special but wouldn 't get out. This place deserves to be discovered, it 's a little gem, cozy and homey.
