So we all enjoyed the food. The shrimp sausage appetizer was a creative and tasty start. My colleague really enjoyed his curry dish, which came with shrimp, chicken, veggies and rice, so much so that he was raving about it hours later. The client had the mac and cheese and really liked that as well. Got out of there with a decent priced bill and happy tummies. HOWEVER…it was so unbelievably hot in there! We were all sweating and somewhat uncomfortable. Considering the amount of suits in there, I am sure we weren’t the only ones. I really hope that the AC was broken or something, because if it’s like that in there every day, it is just unbearable and a good enough reason not to return. To increase the temperature, they cram a lot of tables and a lot of bodies into the space they have. Which reminded me of new york…but not in a good way. Finally, the decor could use an update…the style is kind of victorian, but all the furnishings just look kind of run down and old. That’s all. I recommend for business lunches or dinners. The food was tasty and the menu was creative with a lot of options for different palates. Not mind blowing at all, but serves it’s purpose fairly and reliably. PS – great wine and beer menu!
Our go to see creative amazing eating with intelligent friendly service genius barkeeper great happy hour owners and chef very attentive and fun
I must have run through the restaurant 1,000 times and although I always knew it existed, I have never visited until this last week!
We love to eat in the depot! eating is delicious and the waiting staff is attentive without being overlaid. the bread/kissen and pesto butter they serve.
Delighted to learn about this place....where the locals meet for Happy Hour. Sat at the bar and greeted by jovial bartender, who took great delight in presenting us with answers, that would make you really listen. So fun. My old Fashioned was superb. Then on Happy Hour menu had amazing flatbread with jam, figs and Gonzalo cheese.
