Starbucks - Torridge

Chair's and table weren't cleaned. Staff just chatting behind counter and the latte weak and cold. Really disgusted with overall service. Much better service and cleanliness in America.

My regular experiences of Starbucks, Bideford 's drive-through are nothing short of seamless. Offering a straightforward process by which you simply order your beverage via clever voice comms (you 'll be greeted by the cheery What can I start for you today? , which certainly inspires me to add more delicious products to my order . Then, you just proceed at a safe pace around the well-carved corner, at which point your steaming beverage will be awaiting you, usually accompanied by a beaming smile (on the house! . Highly recommend. And, don 't miss Atlantic Village across the roundabout, packed with enticing stores brimming with goods you didn 't know you needed.

It was this Monday morn after consulting with Xavier my stuffed pet otter, that I fetched upon my hiking boot to bare the bitter January climes. Across a cafe, I did scale on this perishing morn. Fair maiden adorned me with the most charming of addresses for what was once a mere shilling. On my merry way did I scamper with a jovial waltz.

Went in for a coffee about midday today. Coffee and blueberry muffin absolutely fine but a total lack of management obvious. About 80% of the tables had the remnants of previous occupants (coffee cups, plates etc). Only a trickle of customers with the 4 staff members gossiping behind the counter. Eventually one member of staff picked up a few cups but ignored all the rest and some rubbish on the floor and then disappeared behind the counter again. Most concerning of all in these Covid times was there was no evidence of tables being wiped or sanitised after being used. The staff had no pride in their work, weren't too interested in their customers safety and just didn't care. My advice give this place a miss.

Always seem to be short staffed or we’re just not interested. and also never had the items on the menu. If you’ve stopped selling them. Take it off. Also we’re always sold out at 9 am !
