Contribuisci feedback(Dinner review) Pricey but great flavor! We ordered the Peking duck which was as crunchy as I had hoped. However I was a little disappointed that they didn't serve it the way I expected (at other places they slice the meat into cuts that fit well into the bun and avoid any bones). Plus we seemed to get less than the half of a duck we ordered.
Ok so right off the bat I've got to say these photos do not do this place much justice, but the food here is straight up FIRE! My boyfriend and I ordered Brick Flour off Postmates and we were so stoked when heaps of mouthwatering food were delivered right to our door.
The lady is nice and the food is plenty. Hahaha I'm gonna have a nice weight I can see already
Overall I give this place a B/B- for food, and an A for customer service. The woman behind the counter was very polite, and greeted us with a smile. I ordered the large oxtail plate w/ rice and beans, cabbage and plantains $13.50. The food was good, I would have preferred my plantains a little softer and sweeter (cooked/simmered more). I didn't like that there were mixed vegetables in my cabbage, most Caribbean/Jamaican restaurants I've been to give you just cabbage if that's what you order, not mixed veggies. The oxtails and gravy were pretty tasty and seasoned well. Prices are pretty reasonable, $10-$14 for a plate. Sides and dessert prices vary, $3-$5. They have a variety of bottled beverages (soda, juice, Powerade) for sale. There are a few tables inside where you can sit and eat comfortably, and there is free street parking outside.
I've been to 90% of Jamaican restaurants in philly and 2 other places in jersey. Let me just say this was the best by far. The food was so good and authentic like back home. 5Stars
