We asked our taxi driver where we could eat some local food and he brought us here. So happy he did! Everything in here is made locally, from the wooden furniture of the table and chairs (and baby highchair) The decor is a mashup of colourful imagery, religious and pagan. There is no menu, you go over to the open sunken kitchen and choose from what has been cooking. Everything was amazing, flavourful and authentic. Customers were a mix of laid back tourists and locals. And the cost was incredibly low ($290 pesos for 3 full meals including drinks!)
When you come in, there's no menu, you choose directly in the kitchen. It can be difficult to understand what it is if you don't speak Spanish but you can look at the food! We took albondigas (meatballs) with rice and black beans puree, pepper with melted cheese and the guacamole, everything was excellent! With that we took 2 fresh juices (melon and papaya), which were very good!! For everything we paid 160 pesos (not even 8$!!).Great experience, we recommend it!!
