My daughter and I chose this restaurant for its reviews. We were sadly disappointed. The cheese dip was runny and flavorless, the chips were burnt tasting and saltless. The chimichangas were soggy with dried out chicken filling. The beans and rice were bland. There was simply no flavor. Nothing was savory. The service was on spot and friendly but the food was terrible. Taco bell is better than Don Julios
Good food at reasonable prices. Cheese dip was plain. Some restaurants add jalapeño diced or some type of spice, but there’s was straight cheese dip. Salsa tasted freshly made and was above average. I got the Don Julio Fajitas. They were some of the best Fajitas I’ve had. They use steak, chicken, ground beef, bacon, and shrimp. They also have a cheese sauce and it was delicious. My wife got the Hawaiian Fajitas and they were pretty good, but nothing spectacular.
I have to go order I was a walk, but as far as the service goes, I really have my order quickly hopefully tastes the food great
My husband really likes Don Julio so I have to give in and come eat here a good bit however they're not my go to Mexican restaurant. The food isn't bad it is just hit and miss on portions. I have left there hungry as my quesadilla was pretty much a couple chunks of chicken and little to no cheese. They give tiny bowls of chips to go with the cheese dip and salsa which would be ok if they would come back and refill them. All in all I wouldn't be picking this place if not for my husband, but we all have to compromise sometimes lol
