The cafe was kind of hard to find because we didn’t really know our way around the Westfield Shopping centre but when we arrived there the staff were lovely and seated us outside pretty quickly. The environment I think was quiet, perfect place for a great catchup with friends. The food prices were standard for cafes in the area and the food was served timely. The pancakes were a little on the sweet side but still a filling meal. It was @kimberleyndinh first time eating Gnocchi and it was pretty tasty, minus the sauce being a little too creamy. Overall the cafe was a lovely experience and highly recommended for catchup brunch.
Perk’s Kitchen is one of the eateries in the outside restaurant section of Westfield Garden City, alongside the likes of PappaRich and Devon Cafe. We had walked past a number of times, but somehow hadn’t actually eaten there, although they have been open for a few years now. The well-signed exterior of Perk’s Kitchen.
Been here twice now for dinner with friends and loved every minute of it, such amazing atmosphere friendly staff members quick services cant seem to fault it at all.
Decided to visit Perk’s kitchen for a breakfast/brunch catch up with friends. The cafe emanates a nice quaint, urban vibe and is decorated very with an eco-feel. Upon being seated we were given our menus along with the table water. The table water is not usually something to be commented on, however, the table water provided here was a small glass (around the size of a coke or beer glass) and this was for 4 people. Despite being provided with small cups as well, we definitely needed another bottle or two of the ‘table water’.<br/ <br/ For breakfast (before 11:30am) there are about 7 options along with a variety of drinks. I decided to order the waffles with the berry compote and hokey pokey ice cream for $14.90. For $14.90 I was quite disappointed with the amount of food on the plate, only two waffles, two scoops of ice- cream and a dollop of berry compote. I guess it really is all about the experience in these ‘hipster cafes’. My friends decided to order the eggs benedict which was around the $20 mark. I had to steal a bit of the hollandaise and pulled pork. The flavours worked so well but I would still say it is a bit on the pricey side. The last dish ordered was the halloumi stack. The vegetables were seasoned perfectly and roasted well. The halloumi was slightly over cooked but the flavours in this dish worked so well together. <br/ <br/ Overall, this cafe is a bit more on the pricey side but does serve up very aesthetically looking foods that do taste very good. Would love to come here again and try the lunch or dinner menu!
The menu at Perks is different, and delicious! The service is always excellent and friendly, we find. Went for dinner last night and chose their new menu addition 'Superfood Salad Bowl ' it 's amazing, every mouthful! I loved it! Congrats to the creative owner who put it on their menu :D
