The portions are very generous at this restaurant! Be sure to specify if you don't like spicy food when you order. Overall, the food is great with options like Tacos, Burritos, and Enchiladas.
I went to Zocalo with a group of people who included vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers. When our food arrived, we had trouble determining which dishes were vegan, vegetarian, or meat. It was confusing, and we needed the meat eaters to help identify the dishes. Although the food was good, the experience was too complicated, and I never returned to Zocalo. Additionally, the portions seemed small from what I remember.
This is a chain you can find in several cities and many of their dishes can be made vegan. The fillings are often based on fake meat and various other fillings that keep quite a good level of quality, also there are several spices that are pleasant (e.g. pickled onions, fresh coriander etc.). One of the best dishes is the vegan quesadilla, the cheese melts excellent and the taste is good, the filling varies, but you are not disappointed by something else than the size and price that could be significantly better. They also offer a number of Mexican drinks that are pretty nice. The only complaint would be the staff who was sincere or sincerely rude to each individual place.
This place is great. Super quick and tasty vegan burrito. The jackfruit filling sorta freaked me out because the texture was so meaty, but the flavor was great. I would definitely go back and recommend it!
