Charlie's Pizza - Utica

I call at 8:20 pm and no one answers the phone. No wonder this place isn't doing great. The employees don't want to work.

Consistently great pizza and Italian foods. The pizza has more Italian herbs than what many other places use. Currently, Charlie's only does takeout, but the food is always great.

If you are planning to eat at Charles, skip the North Utica Leland Ave location and head to Washington Mills. We often eat at their Washington Mills Kellogg Ave location and it's awesome there. This North Utica Leland Ave. restaurant has some issues. We met 3 other people there and very few people were in the restaurant on this rainy cold Thursday night. We got menus and were seated okay and waited a little long before anyone took our orders. When we finally ordered one of our party of 5 asked for 2 separate checks. After placing our orders, we waited over 60 minutes for the food to come out. When it finally did my brothers salad had onions on it he asked for none, my wife's spaghetti has cheese on it she asked for no cheese. My eggplant parm was thin (like I like) but it had 3 inches of melted mozzarella cheese on it. It was like eating baked cheese so I had to remove it to get to the eggplant. My side of spaghetti was overcooked. Garlic rolls slightly undercooked. When the check came out, the waitress forgot we wanted separate checks and we wanted a while until that was fixed. I'm very surprised at the mediocre waitress, the very slow kitchen, and the sub par food. The other Charlies is awesome. With all the great places we had to eat in Utica, NY area I am surprised at the low quality at this one.

This is a great lunch place if you like thin pizza which happens to be my personal favorite then definitely come to Charlies!! Prices are very reasonable. They staff is always friendly the young lady at the counter will always greet you with a friendly smile! This is a place I will frequent for lunch and for sure will be trying more than the pizza.

I ordered chicken parm and got no noodles then I also got a order of chicken wings ps no blue cheese was fine I was mad but o well but the gave me BBQ and I asked for medium
