Sporty. great for getting in with not to miss sport evenings for example chelsea vs barcelona champions league. to see many screens. very English bar. good choice of beer including guinness at a premium 9 e a 1/2 liter in contrast to 6.5...E for peroni.
Great bar, especially to watch any sport that is on. also the habitable band sounded good and the staff was super friendly. worth a visit.
Is this the only sports bar in Val D'Isere? I am not sure but it is the only one you need to know about for all the major sporting events. It is friendly, the beer is relatively cheap and there are lots of screens not...always showing the same events. We caught some NFL and Premier League action the night we visited, as well as a superb pool table display by me (probably never to be repeated). Apparently, the bar is packed for the big games and the Six Nations weekends are supposedly a lot of fun. The only downside is the way it is hidden away, particularly difficult to find after the recent dumps of snow. And perhaps they should change their name to something more appropriately sporty?
The Pacific Bar, a true Val d'Isère institution ! The true sports bar of the french alps. The original and best I've been to in any ski resort. Loads of screens and loads of atmosphere. Ask the helpful staff and they'll try to fit your...team's game on somewhere. All the live sport you want to watch while on holiday. Well kept and wide variety of beer, PROPER CIDER, lots of apres ski drinks promos, and proper pub food (pukka pies, sausage rolls, monster munch and toasties) It's not all about sport though; when the sport finishes, the DJ starts. A great New Year's Eve and free entry unlike most of town. Also a free weekly Salomon raffle to win new skis and boards. A great week's skiing and a great week on the lash !
