Hotel du Buet - Vallorcine

Located on the bottom of La Poya kindergarten slopes, this is a great place for lunch or later for dinner. Good children's menu, cheap and all cooked at home. Beautiful terrace and attentive staff. Try it.

I booked a room after a very long day hiking and some failed plans to hike on the higher grounds. The good sides are that the hotel is very centrally located in the small village of Le Buet. It is surprisingly clean compared with the...overall look and feel. But. The room I stayed in must have been renovated last in the 70's judging by the decor. The wallpapers were hanging. There was an undesrcibable smell in the room. There was a 1cm hole between the door and it's frames on the lower part of it, so needless to say everything that went on in the corridor could be heard. And so in the adjacent rooms even discussion with a rather normal volume. When I checked in I could smell a clear scent of alcohol from the receptionist, which also seemed to affect her job somewhat. A one star place, yes, but for 58€/night this was way at the bottom of the list of the cheap hiking hotels I've visited,

I was walking near here on a very wet, cold day. We popped in for coffee and to our delight, we were allowed to eat our own picnic lunches there as long as we bought drinks. There were 13 of us, so we took up...a big space in the premises!

Stopped here with friends to enjoy lunch delicious mountain fare and came back the next night for some great live music. Lots of fun.

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hotel juste pour une nuit.Accueil: Top! la patrone est vraiment très sympathique, toujours le sourire. C'est très agréable..Chambre: Petite, mais très bien agencée. La literie est bonne.Petit dèj: très bien. tout se qu'il faut pour bien commencer la journée.J'ai adoré la décoration de l'hotel, trés rustique Cela reste un endroit très simple, genre "bienvenue à la maison" et j'ai beaucoup apprécié.
