Soccer on the tele mixed with dance-worthy Latin jams on the stereo, laced with happy conversation of families enjoying their meal together and the aromatic cloud of joy coming from the kitchen. I felt truly welcomed and nourished from my dining experience at Mi Casa Pupuseria; I look forward to returning!
Delicious El Salvador focused Mexican eatery. Small but mighty. This joint has the most legit South of the border food in Vancouver. The pollo a la diablo was amazing. The tacos are great too. Margaritas are served in pint glasses and are only $7.50. It's in a tight strip mall so parking is very limited. Finding a spot on the street is challenging too. But worth it. We'll be back.
Pictured here is the Pan con Pollo, reminds me of a Cubano sandwich but with chicken, and wetter. Super delicious sloppy goodness. Also, If you've never had one, try the Chicharon con Queso Pupusa. It's meat-on pork rinds, finely shredded, stuffed with while melty cheese in a half inch thick corn tortilla. Served with quick pickled cabbage, I put that on top of the pupusa.
I cried last time I ate here because I was so happy. I'm tearing up just thinking about it right now. Pupusas. Plantanos fritos. *Churros*. Heaven is now and it is here.
The restaurant was great. The only problem I have is I ordered at 10:49 didn't get my lunch until noon. Well after my lunch break was over
