We went to the Londsdale Quay market tonight. There were a lot of fabulous food trucks to choose from. I decided on Dougies food truck. 9 dollars for a day old bun, cold skinny hot dog with dry mac and cheese on top is not what I was expecting. The bacon was cooked well but couldn't stand alone. So sad because the last time I ate at this food truck it was wonderful and way less expensive. Not too sure what has happened?
I had a poutine dog at the Dougie Dog food truck at the Calgary Stampede. It had all of 1 cheese curd on it with runny gravy that tasted like it was from a grocery store package. The bun was dry on the ends. For $9 I expected an amazing hot dog I should have bought a regular hotdog somewhere else and poured some fries on top it would have been better. I wont waste my money on food from here next time.
I thought $8 was expensive for a hot dog with one piece of bacon and what turned out to be horrible Mac n Cheese and I wish I had listened to myself. The bun was doughy and chewy, totally overwhelming the dog, which was rather bland. No flavour jumped out from the dog or the Mac N Cheese. Very boring. Don't waste your money.
Hard to write a review on this..lets me just say this is a MUST try when in Vancouver. Absolutely amazing!!!!
