We were 4 people coming back from a visit to Nitobe Memorial Garden when we found this as the nearest Mexican restaurant on the GPS. And it was such a traumatic experience. To begin with, the place looked empty and gloomy, and with very good reasons. Four kinds of wraps topped with beef and chicken, one bite through the course, and the result was clear for everyone: the food was a disaster. You wouldn't give this junk to your cat. Such a waste of money and appetite! We thought somebody should soon or later look into what these guys here were busy doing. This is not even meeting the minimums.
Service was friendly and warm, prices were reasonable, around $7, but the food could be better. I had burrito with beans and veggies. It wasn't tasty, just plain, I mean no flavor at all. Hoped to eat an authentic Mexican food, but didn't find it there. I think they need more competition to improve their cuisine. More Mexican restaurants in the area would be great.
Red Burrito serves customizable tacos, burritos, fajitas. I like their choice of toppings, especially corn salsa. I'm also partial to their Tamale Plate; the tamales are usually fresh balance between filling and cornmeal dumpling.
While not completely authentic, this restaurant offers delicious food at a great price. The burritos are consistently hot, flavorful, and filled to the brim.
