A few highlights was that the beer was absolutely ? awesome, I couldn't stop ordering (To Fly A Kite) this is an actual Ben Franklin recipe that the Brew Master John brought back to life in the 21st century, it has blue spuce note.. yes blue spruce notes!!! (Awesome) is an understatement! The place has so many awards hanging on the wall, which is a testament to the quality of the brews that John makes. The food menu wasn't a large menu, but what it lacked in size, it more then made up for it in quality. This should be a must stop for any craft brew lover. You won't be disappointed. Well done Allusion, well done!
This place is amazing! I love watching all the hot men brew and the cooks are so handsome. I really want to date the one cook, I think his name is Marion. He is great!
We are big fans of Allusion. We love the strong, full-bodied beers particularly the imperial stouts and IPAs. Also big fans of the Polish lager. Food is tasty. Pub is cozy.I do need to point out an issue, however: we bought several packs of canned beer that included the pumpkin and an IPA. All of the beers were noticeably FLAT, and really not fun or drinkable. It's obviously an issue with their canning process and not the beer's fault. We did our best to sip through them but ultimately used them in chili. Hopefully this has been resolved.
Great tasting brews. Good food. Cool place to hang in back room
After an afternoon of going to places that weren’t open, we remembered that this place was nearby. After a recommendation a while ago, we finally made the decision to stop. We waited way to long and should have been coming here for years. The service was excellent and the pours even better. The food was perfect on this brisk, fall day in the burbs of Pittsburgh! Without even knowing it, we have a connection to the assistant brewer and we’re very pleased to tell him how much we appreciated what’s on tap. This is a little bit of a hike from downtown Pittsburgh but we will be back many times more and it certainly should be on your short list of places to take an afternoon trip. Great beers, good food, and an outstandingly restored historic building. Cheers!!
