Nu Panino - Vaughan

My husband and I had the rare opportunity to have lunch together two weeks ago and stumbled upon this gem of an Italian eatery. It was after the lunch rush so you would think that there wouldn't be much of a selection for lunch. The owner made us feel like we were at Nonnna's house! She made us the most delicious oven baked veal sandwiches ever! Even the tomato sauce is slow baked in the oven. She offered a side order of olives for my husband and beets (I loved them)! for me. The service was awesome. The buns were perfect; not too much bread, absolutely fresh, and just crusty enough. I never eat the bread and I did that afternoon. The chairs were really comfortable and the place is really clean. Even the ladies' bathroom was really clean after a busy afternoon rush. What a nice break from a busy day. We would definitely go back. The pricing was really reasonable, especially when you consider what a sandwich costs at competing places. Mary is amazing!

A diamond in the rough! One would never expect the quality of food from a small "fast food" restaurant. The food is authentic and delicious just like Nonna used to make!

With so many choices there has to be something besides the great food that brings people back. Social animals that we are, Mary is that something. She gave me great suggestions and was so enthusiastic I did t want to leave. I had two kinds of vegan pizza, prepared just for me. The white had enough garlic to kill all my friends, too bad-I loved it. The grilled veggies on the other side of the pizza with tomato sauce were amazing. I had a slice of each and brought a lot more home. Shout-out to the pretty lady with the blond hair and nice nail polish who made the pizza, sorry I didn't get her name too. I went in for a veggie Italian sandwich and left with a new favourite place to go. Try it, you'll love it. Say hi to Mary

The best meatball sandwiches I have ever had...oh wait...the veal is awesome too..then again, so is the chicken...and well, the rice balls...yummy...each order is made fresh...the only negative about this is that a McD's just opened up literally in the parking lot and access to the place is a gong show.I would recommend a visit or take out

They have the best espresso in the area by far. Great little place for Italian style panini. Very tasty and great traditional selection of sandwiches, salads, olives. All you need for a enjoyable lunch. They even have good hard salami you can purchase to take with you. Yum yum yum good place for a quick bite
