We took the visit of the king's vegetable garden with the guide option that is only the weekends for 3 € in addition. I think it's worth it to get to know the subtleties we wouldn't have known if we had visited it alone. this garden may seem sorry in some places but it is still interesting.
A stop away from the castle's gold. A meeting with the unknown material and gustative world. To discover! I warmly recommend a visit accompanied by a guide.
Very beautiful vegetable gardens, there are producers who sell fruits, vegetables and local products at the entrance.
Much less popular than the castle, this place is quite deserted by visitors to Versailles and that's good because it allows you to discover 9 hectares of absolutely wonderful cultures in a peaceful setting. Tables are available throughout the area for picnics. Entrance is between 3 or 4€ depending on the season, try to opt for a guided tour if possible. Don't know what to do on a Sunday afternoon? So hurry to the Potager du Roi and leave with vegetables and fruits grown on site (ok it's not cheap but more local is difficult.. . My advice: just stroll through the aisles and breathe in the scents of the plants.
