There is a fabulous gallery with the most incredible paintings and a lovely small British tea garden with some of the most tasty cakes ever! Will be heading back next year without fail. It's a must!
So, so disappointing. I love these little French cafes where things are done so delightfully well. This. Was. Well, a far flung step away from the mark. The middle aged (50s ish? lady who served us was so profoundly rude even the thought of France was distasteful by the end of our visit. Such a shame this beautiful place was marred so badly.
What a find! Not only a huge selection of teas from all over the world served so charmingly in a teapot and China cups just as it should be but Marilyn, the owner, makes all the cakes, scones and ice cream herself from local ingredients. The second time I visited she was offering fresh fruit smoothies made from fruits bought at the local market. Absolutely delicious. Do visit her lovely tea garden if you are in the area.
Combination of art and cake. This garden gives you the most British feeling in Normandy. Thee and cake at it's best. The lovely hostess with the various wonderful cakes and scones in a little garden and art atelier of David Eva take you to the other side of the channel after a beautiful visit of the nice village of Veules des Roses.Perfect!
At the end of our car tour on Friday, 12th June 2015, we and our French car enthusiast friends thoroughly enjoyed delicious homemade chocolate cake, a yummy orange fruit loaf and scones served by the lovely Marilyn. With no fuss, when the rain came down, we moved tables and chairs in to her husband's art studio (also well worth seeing). What a joy to drink leaf tea instead of shopfloor shavings in teabags. All too easy to sample ALL the homemade cakes...
