Thai Thai - Visby

Just outside the city wall you find this tahi restaurant. Either yiu eat your food there or take away, The food is good but nothing special.

Visby in the summer is generally an expensive affair. Thai Thai was an exception to that rule and had a good standard Thai food menu to choose from. The food was nothing exceptionell, but also nothing to complain about. We had a take away dinner, but still the staff was cordial and seamed to be service minded. Also there are two restaurants next door, a Sushi and a Indian, so the selection for a bigger party is good. The ambience in the restaurant was a bit on the cheap side and the interior quite small. So if the weather is good I would recommend you to have a take away dinner in the beautiful nature and scenery in Visby.

Food here is good. Served quickly. Portions are big and price is good for quality and quantity. My chicken satay was a bit bland though. Service also good.

I had chicken ponang for lunch. It costs 75 kronor. Not expensive. Portion was big. Food was medium. Does not quite match my own cookings. Their take away service is good. The package leaked a little though when I transported it in my bicycle. Luckily had the plastic bag. Experience is medium plus. They should work more with the sauces to get the right taste.

The Restaurant is close to the pedestrian area in the south of Visby Center. We took the lunch menu with 69 SEK for a vegetarian green curry. The taste was very good and authentic. The large Chang beer was not expensive either. We enjoyed our stay although we needed to sit inside, since all places outside were occupied (obviously the Restaurant is very popular). The room inside is rather small but everything is very clean and nicely decorated. We would recommend it to anybody who likes Thai Food.
