This place was recommended by my friends and relatives who live in the area.Ordered the No. # 2 Combo with Pierogies, Polish Sausage and Cabbage Roll for $15. Oh so good! The home made bacon, cheese and onion pierogies is what i have always been craving for other than the frozen pierogies you can buy at the store. Also had "REAL" Russian Borscht with beats and not the fake Russian Borscht with tomato soup.So overall it was very good including the service. The price however was average and a little overpriced.
Happened to be doing laundry at the laundromat a few doors down when I got a bit hungry - quick Google map search showed Iwona's literally a few steps away so I placed an order for pickup.Food was ready just as I was finishing up so I raced home to try it and the aroma from the container was tempting me the whole way. Had a combo meal - 4 sauerkraut, potato, onion pierogies with a sausage and cabbage roll. Also came with a small veggie/chickpea salad.Wasn't disappointed. The food was great and had a real homemade taste to it. Recommend this place to anyone wanting some good polish food!
We came because our polish friends recommended this place. We were not disappointed. A small little restaurant with some kitschy decor. Authentic polish pierogies and cabbage rolls. Absolutely delicious. True homemade goodness. And the coolest slanted water glasses. The dessert pierogies are great. We tried the apple and the strawberry ones. Fresh and bold flavors...
I was out yesterday and wanted something tasty. I opted to come here for dinner, been only for lunch in the past. I had pierogies, cabbage roll and sausage. They added two different salads, one with chick peas and one with carrot and pineapple. Wow what flavors and I ate it all. Was so full I was uncomfortable, but one happy camper. The variety of pierogies is large, I had pork with sauerkraut and so tasty! Small mom and dad place out of the way.
Took a friend here tonight and it didn't turn out well. I asked for the pierogies to be pan fried and they came out deep fat fried, Strike 1. Who deep fat fries pierogies?Ordered the schnitzel and it came overcooked and dry, Strike 2Ordered apple pierogies for desert and they were out, Strike 3We normally buy a couple dozen frozen pierogies to take home but passed on them tonight.Perhaps time to look for another pierogy place
