We responded to the 30% offer you sent so on the 1st February we booked a table for 1900 hours for 2. This was a special occasion as I just retired and my partner and I have just moved in together. I placed the order at the bar and paid £37.15. It said approved on the card machine so I went and sat down. 5 minutes later the girl from the bar who had her hair done up.on her head came to me and said your card didn't go through and asked me to go to the bar and pay again. I found this strange but believed her. She charged me £24.78 which I thought was strange but assumed she forgot the 30% discount voucher. I checked my bank card an found she had billed me twice. I asked a male who I take it was the duty manager to explain why I was charged twice. He looked but couldn't find the second transaction. He said leave it with him and he would come and see me at our table. Our food was served and he arrived stating the girl who charged me had billed me for somebody else's drinks. He apologised and put a credit for the £24.78 on my card. Yet to receive it. No offer of recompense for billing me twice or a free dessert or anything. End off. I found the service and the way we were treated absolutely abysmal. We certainly won't be going back there ever again and if that's the way you treat customers you will lose lots of trade Disgusting, and the food- wasn't anything special either.

Called in after taking the dogs to Sutton park. Very clean and tidy and well maintained. Shannon served us and she was very pleasant and friendly. She bought water and treats for the dogs and they throughly enjoyed them. Food was delicious and we will definitely be back again. Excellent service from Shannon.

Katie is a credit to this pub. She opened the door and helped me get a wheelchair in and was so lovely and polite. Well done

Bar service slow only 2 members of staff they couldn’t find any wine glasses took too long. Ordered breaded mushrooms to start no they came out with mains ordered nachos which came cold I know the menu doesn’t state hot or cold but since when do you have cold nachos no cheese even the cheese sauce what little was on there was cold awful and not cheap either just under £10.00 just for that. The loaded fries with pulled pork was good ! Breaded mushrooms ok Disappointing visit don’t go out very often will think twice next time !!

My family and I visited your pub. Me and my partner ordered the sharer chicken wings. When I bit into the first one I noticed how cold they were. On Inspection every single chicken wing was freezing to the bone. It was like they had only just been defrosted and not cooked at all. We told one of the ladies who were collecting glasses to which she apologised and said she would get us some more. When the second plate of chicken wings come they were again freezing to the bone. We returned these to the bar and complained to which we were told that the reason the food is not acceptable is because they are so short staffed. I now have the worst sickness bug and I am convinced it is from the chicken that we had yesterday. As much as I fully sympathise that being short staffed isn’t ideal, I still think that food being cooked correctly should be a main priority.
