The manager, if there is one, must be out drinking, or otherwise giving up on his business. The staff (all 3 of them at 7:30pm Saturday night) are doing their best, but, wow, this location is a disaster.
When I got there, I told the staff the name of the order but it took them a while to figure out what pizza it was. When I went to pay, I paid with my card. The screen asked me to tip. I never tip at a place like this. The staff is just making my food. They aren't even cooking it because it is a take and bake so I don't see it necessary. I tried to press no tip with my finger because I assumed it was a touch screen. The cashier told me I had to use the stylus and it seemed like I had to press extra hard for it to work and I had accidentally tipped 15% $3) and it didn't even give me the option to confirm it so I had paid $3 more for the pizza than I had intended to. It is only $3 but it is the principal that bothers me.
The staff seemed to be behind on orders by an hour. The pizza makers did not change their gloves after touching anything and everything. Cross contamination.
The staff at the 1810 Olympic St. location seemed to have no idea on how to make any items on the menu. The girl starting orders looked to be just 10 years old and continued to ask teenagers questions every step of the way. All of the adult staff was in the back doing dishes and preparing for the busy time I'm assuming. When I placed my order, they said it would be about 15 minutes. So I patiently waited and watched and observed the staff. As I observed, I noticed that they lack in Team effort and communication and knowledge and the ability to make orders in the order they were received. While I was waiting, there was a customer waiting in the drive through for 8 minutes after receiving her order that was wrong. They finally assisted her after the long wait. The child that assisted her was in the middle of making a pizza for my order. She stopped making my pizza took her gloves off. Helped the lady in the drive through and then after a few minutes of dealing with that customer and getting the manager. She rinsed her hands for about 5 seconds and dried them off, Put gloves on and got back to making pizzas. Once I realized how disorganized this Papa Murphy's was and how disgusting and unqualified the employees where I decided to cancel my order and go elsewhere. I am very disappointed once again and will not ever return to this location in Springfield Oregon.
