We went to brunch on Father's Day, the food was very good and our server Amy was a pleasure. I asked if my order could be made sharp and that was not a problem. We'll return Poplar Springs Manor House.
The service was excellent. The manager was out on Saturday. We sat down. The waiter was great, but they were from too many articles at 7:00 on Saturday night. The kitchen took 45 minutes to bring our articles to the table. I asked to talk to the manager who never visited her. Even when she broke off the appetizers, she didn't say hi. The waiter said she was the manager at the service. It was recently sold to another owner. So disappointed!
Served for birthday and made the tasting menu without the wine pairs. The food was great and our waiter Jonah was fantastic. We were filled and wanted to take home Dessert. Since Cream Brûlée does not travel well, Jonah offered to replace the dessert for something from the regular menu that could go home. Ordered a nice red from the menu and let it breathe while we had our first 2 courses. A wonderful evening!
I was very impressed with the Manor House Restaurant as well as the Poplar Springs Inn in which it sits. I definitely will be back since I feel the property will be most beautiful in Fall and Winter time.
