Logan Tavern - Washington

The location is nice and it has indoor and outdoor seating. Inside it looks like a typical bar with seating for dining. The music inside is really loud and it is hard to hold a normal conversation. The food was just ok but portions were small for the price. Salmon was good but they were out of broccolini. The steak was not cooked to order—it was ordered medium well and it came rare. Service was good and the server was nice.

We were served tepid water when we arrived which was really weird. Seated at the internal/right room, the ambiance was unappealing. The mixed grill was very pricey for such tiny portions. For what we had, it wasn’t good value at all. Waited for about an hour for food to be served.

The restaurant is under new ownership. The restaurant changed its menu, which is more limited than the previous menu. I was disappointed with the limited new menu, which had fewer food choices. Also, the old more expansive menu was still on the restaurant's website. Accordingly, I was not pleased that the meal that I wanted to order, based on what I read on the menu prior to arriving at the restaurant, was not on the new menu. I eventually ordered the salmon, which was delicious. I also ordered the broccolini. Although delicious, it arrived luke warm. And I am not sure that I like my meal served on a wood plank. Then, the bar ran out of one of its signature drinks. This is a nice restaurant and I have been a patron for years. I hope the new owners of the restaurant gets itself together fast.

Great local eatery with excellent appetizers and entrees. Will be back.
