My wife and I ordered 2 cheeseburgers around 5 pm Monday, April 3rd at “The Classic restaurant in The Eatery”at the Meadows. At $12.00 $11.99) for “The Original cheeseberger”,we would have been better off eating at McDonalds, Wendy’s or Burger King on Race Track road…for much less money and better quality!! The Original cheeseberger we started to eat smelled and tasted like burnt and overused grease. Also, one of the cooks had a full grown beard and no beard net. To my wife and I who had dealings with food preparation in the past, this was totally unsanitary. We vowed to never eat there again.Dietary restrictions: Are they using Transfat free frying oils??

Great selection for food and even though lines were long the service was fast. Nice to see that there is a selection of places and that you can sit and watch horse racing.

So far the only 2 things I'm not disappointed with is the pizza at the Mercato and the fish poboy sandwich at The Classic. If you do order the fish poboy ask for lettuce and tomato otherwise it's boring. Stay away from the burgers because they appear to be precooked and warmed up and dry, expect cold stale buns. I'm very disappointed and really miss the restaurant buffet they used to have which was always good. Oh well at least there are decent restaurants nearby the casino.
