Tequila Mezcal - Washington DC

The shrimp tacos were delicious, and the drinks were charming, though not very strong. Unfortunately, our server was rude. When I requested checks for our party of eight, she mentioned she would bring one and then walked away. We ended up needing to ask a manager to help us split the bill, and our server returned with separate checks as she could have done initially. Once everything was settled, she had the audacity to say that we should have mentioned wanting separate checks at the beginning – which I did; she simply chose to ignore it. I've worked in customer service myself, so I understand how to handle large parties better than she did.

Delicious food and an excellent selection of drinks! I tried the steak and chorizo tacos along with the house margarita made with mezcal. I highly recommend them!

First time visiting Tequila Mezcal with my friends. We had a great time. Their food was delicious and the drinks were great too (very refreshing).

Had a nice dinner at Tequila Mezcal. Staff was excellent and knowledgeable, suggested a tamarind mezcal cocktail that wasn't on the menu, it was delicious. The three tacos I ordered were also filling and good. My favorite was the Campechanos and the Birria but the octopus was also good. Will look to go back and recommend when in Columbia Heights.

Great place, nice quiet atmosphere, the food was really good especially the guacamole and chips. My shrimp tacos was good but just felt plain. My best friend had the mixed fajitas and she loved it. The drinks were different but the ones I liked could have been stronger. The one strong drink we got was strong enough but we didn't like the taste of it. Overall would rate this place 9 out 10...and the customer service was on point!
