Fir Tree - Watergrasshill

Functional for fine food. This place is a pub that serves food. The menu had a good selection with burgers, pizza, roast dinner and fish to name a few. The setting itself was very noisy as a pub can be with a match on the TV. Also lots of unsupervised children. The chicken I got was presented really well and flavoursome. Overall this was an OK place to grab a bit but service was lacking at times maybe due to staff numbers. Will pop in again for a quick bite if stuck.

Nachos were great this visit, last visit the burger was fantastic. Nice chips. The staff are very friendly, service and food excellent. We had dogs with us and so ate in the beer garden. Staff regularly cam out to see if we were ok. Village nice, a good stop off the motorway.

Gorgeous dinner. Great bacon ans cheddar cheese burger and Guinness beef stew daily special. Will be back!

We came down from Dublin to visit family living in the area and came across this bar. Although it doesn't look too appealing as it is predominantly a locals pub, we were blown away by the food. Brilliant quality and locally produced at a highly reasonable price. I will absolutely come back again.

We were in the area and we were looking for somewhere to eat and spotted The Fir Tree on the main street. On walking in to the bar, it didn't look like they were serving food as no salt and pepper on the tables but once we enquired we were provided with a menu and a specials board. Good choice on the menu and we both went for the burgers. Very pleasantly surprised with the food, presentation was good, the quality was very good also. Really enjoyed it and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere and friendly locals. Overall a good experience.
