Our waitress was flat out rude and anti social. Our pleases and thank you's were met with gruff responses. There are better places to spend our dining dollar.
I drive from Waco, Texas, to come buy tamales from this little gem. These are the best tamales I have ever had. Parking: The parking was very simple Kid-friendliness: I seen kids eating a kids proportion play.
I liked it, it's a family restaurant, the breakfasts were delicious, the tortillas are freshly made, plus the Menudo, if I don't highly recommend it, it lacked a lot of flavor, but the rest was very delicious. Hector, a very friendly boy, was attentive to us at all times. The bathrooms are clean and They have a candy machine and toys which are a plus where the children can be entertained while you talk. I am a mother and I don't like to leave my baby glued to the phone so when there are machines I know that until we leave my child will be entertained without getting bored.
This is a hidden gem. A mexican diner with american options as well. The pechuga chipotle chicken was delightful. The beans were the perfect consistency and the rice was great as well. A highlight of the meal was the corn tortillas which were obviously homemade and I've found much better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. Don't let the urban diner atmosphere scare you away this place is delicious. The unsweet tea was actually fresh. They offer sweeteners at the table.
Its a little hole in the wall. Place was actually good food. Homemade tortillas. Pozole was good. Tacos were good. We were too late for breakfast. Our waiter Hector was great. The entrance needs to be replaced. Three tiers of cement and holes. Very uneven and couldbe dangerous for most elderly or habdicapped. It would be worth it to re-do the sidewalk and entrance, judging by the people coming in. It got packed. Parking: Watch your step.
