The Highwood - Weehawken

Really great for eating in general, especially when they are in sport, as there are several screens in the whole environment. not really a romantic environment, but unlike that it is great for eating atleast.

Eating was ok sitting was tight drinks overpriced server was excellent

Would have been better if the waitress took our whole order not just our appetizers never checked back with us and we had to leave only to have eaten a few apps for 6 people

I ordered the crab cake burger that came with sweet potato fries. The fries were burnt, the burger barely had any crab in it and was very bland (which is surprising for crab meat/ cake but had a huge bib of lettuce, a huge bun, and a sprinkle of crabmeat not in any resemblance of a crab cake. It was so dry I couldn 't get past 2 bites. The resturant was short staffed in servers so I give all the grace to our server. She was working really hard at taking care of everyone and still had an upbeat demeanor. She was awesome! The resturant doesnt validate parking and luckily when we were there the garage wasn 't charging by the hour. Due to the short staffing, our meals and service flow (understandably took longer than usual. The restaurant also charges an additional fee if you use a credit card which is interesting. Found out about this place on a social media ad. Looked like a cool place to try out, but for the blandness of my meal, I will not be returning.
