After calling and reviewing menus of some local bbq places and not finding what I needed, I felt anxious and didn’t know where to turn. Then a friend mentioned a wedding that she attended that had used Dee Jay’s to cater their event. She said the food was delicious and recommended it highly.I called Dee Jay’s and spoke with the caterer, Nicole. She was so pleasant, responsive and accommodating and made wonderful suggestions! She put me at ease. I decided upon Kona crusted prime pork and grilled chicken with BBQ sauce (mmmm! on the side. Both entrees were delicious! The pork melted in your mouth while the chicken was tasty and tender. We followed with wonderful red-skinned mashed potatoes and green beans and a unique jalapeno cornbread meant to be eaten with a spoon. FANTASTIC!People raved. They went back for seconds and even thirds. People told me it was the best shower that they’ve attended. Nicole and Dee Jay’s MADE the whole shower! The price was reasonable and we certainly had an ample amount of delicious food to enjoy.I highly recommend Dee Jay’s and Nicole for catering for any event you are planning. Dee Jay’s also has all of what you’d consider more traditional BBQ food. Whatever your event, I am sure Nicole is able to design a delicious menu that meets your needs. I will be calling Dee Jay’s for future events! ….and I’m looking forward to visiting one of their restaurants! (Addendum...I initially called the Collier restaurant who put me in touch with Nicole for the Pittsburgh area.
DJs is under new ownership. Quality of food is good. French fries are awful. Wish they would get rid of them and bring back good fries. Reason I didn't give a 5. I know business will say people love them. Need to ask customers they will tell you they suck.Food: 3/5
I've been living here for a year and people kept telling me to try Dee Jay's. I was excited to finally try it on Father's Day because I love BBQ. But I was sorely disappointed. The ribs were ok but not great. The jalapeño mac was decent. The fries were alright. The only thing my wife and I actually enjoyed were the potato skins and the pretzels. Her pork was completely inedible and way too over-seasoned. We couldn't even take it home for our dog. While the food was disappointing enough, the $75 lunch bill just felt like an extra slap in the face. The only reason I gave an extra star is because the service was decent, even with them being a little busy for Father's Day. But I cannot recommend this restaurant any less. Overpriced and low quality.
Waited for 40 minutes inside and final got fed up and went through the drive threw where I waited another 30 minutes. Ever since it was sold the service has been garbage at best. They just don’t care anymore. Good place if you have all day or don’t care when you eat. My last 4 experiences I won’t be back. Absolutely garbage service and experience.
Disappointed. First time today visiting. Arrived 2:15 pm or so. Almost empty. Was seated, 10 min later…not the first wait staff. Waitress with wild pink hair and tattoos was only one working. She never bothered to stop by table so we left. Hostess watched us leave and never mentioned a word. Surprised for this level of service seeing the prices in menu. Pricy, looked good but not paying that money for such poor service when there was no reason. Empty restaurant.
