The special of the day was minced steak with potatoes, fries, and vegetables, along with homemade soup and tea for $9.99. The meal was tasty, made with fresh local ingredients, and the service was quick. The only downside was that the restaurant closed early at 2pm.
The restaurant is very small, located in front of the church. The staff are friendly and efficient. The menu offers classic greasy spoon options at a decent price. Overall, the dining experience is consistently good.
We explored the island and searched for a breakfast spot. Someone recommended that we venture off our planned route to this place. I enjoy visiting local hangouts as they usually have good food. The breakfast menu was simple, written on a chalkboard on the wall. Our meal was delicious and this place turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. I expected French food in Canada, but this was the only place with a unique meatcake dish. I wish we had more meals at this friendly and affordable spot.
Very small, get there before church crowd! Staff are friendly and efficient, good greasy spoon style menu, decent price, food is dependably good.
We were exploring the Island and looking for a breakfast place. Someone suggested we go a little out of our planned route to this place. I love to go to places where the locals hang out, that usually means it is good. The breakfast menu is simple, it is written on a chalk board on the wall. Our meal was good and the place has among the best prices on the Island. I thought being in Canada would provide me with French food, but this was the only place that had a hint of it with their "meat pie" by the slice. I regret we could not have had more meals at this friendly, affordable place.
