Nikolaus Grill - Werden

I was in Essen for about months on business and loved this spot. They have great Gyros and what I tried of the German fare was all good too. The prices are reasonable and the family that runs it is very friendly. There isn't...a lot of space inside but it has a lovely patio when the weather is nice.

Had a stop at the nikolaus today. once gyros with salad.The gyros was okay, many don't like it so crispy well seasoned, and that's exactly how you get it here. the taste comes from the zaziki. a catastrophe was the salat, almost all from the dose. to a few badly cut gurks and tomaten was everything packed out here. even the tubes were clearly bought. the service was fast and neutral....Not unfriendly...but not friendly. for the teller, I think, have reconciled over 7,50 euro. the beer gave it for funny 2.00 euro. the tables outside not dirty but also without decoration or style. the audience stood or sat outside, drank beer and smoked zigarettes with loud entertainment to pubic themes.

Have been here more often in the last time and I must say: I have never been disappointed. gyros very tasty, pommes top (!) and the salads are excellent - here there are so many variations and ingredients, madness! the salads in the load are really a dream. but also the service is here top, always very friendly, very accurate (in positive sense), accommodating - rarely so a service experienced in a snack. seems to be a family-run local. no toilet, okay, but there are alcoholic beverages available;O)Always welcome again!Thank you very much.Never you have to stress - this is well visited locally (directly close to the uniclinic), but here there are no slang and not long waiting times or wow!

We have been more frequent here for a snack in the last few months due to visits to uniklinik.The pommes fries are very good. the salate too. the service was always very friendly.You can also sit very well on the outside terrace with good weather.As recommended in the bite.

Quick service, delicious pommes!Aaaber at the metaxasauce we still have to practice! gyros with this funny sauce was really cruel! too much cheese and the whole sponge in fat- I then asked if I could get some suace- also worked, only this was extra calculated and the worst- easy-to-heary taste- sorry was not at all!
