La Casa Del Tamal - West Valley City

La Casa Del Tamal was great. Got seated right away. Employees were all kind referring to guests as Friends/Amigos and/or Family. Food was delicious. Salsa could have been a little thicker instead of so runny, but it was still delicious so I wasn’t too bothered by it. Our waiter Israel was great, he had great customer service, quick with whatever we requested, always had our glasses filled. We never had to ask to have our glasses filled. Israel was friendly with our whole table. I’d definitely recommend La Casa Del Tamal and if you get Israel as your waiter, you’ll have great customer service. Can’t say enough good about this delicious restaurant. Thank you!

My family and I went in for our first time. We'd been wanting to try this place out for years but haven't been in the neighborgood. Israel was our waiter and he was the absolute best. He was friendly, patient with our kids and was great about menu suggestions. The food was more amazing than we could have imagined. We will be back even if we have to come from the other end of the valley. Home run.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu was limited for the super littles but all good.

Should have come here long ago, everything was very good! Service: Axel was excellent, great information and timely. Birria fries, tacos, tamales. Well run kitchen, very clean modern atmosphere.We will definitely come back with more friends...

Really fantastic Mexican food, and I am judgy about it, being from New Mexico. Went with my coworkers, we had a large party. Waiter didn't miss a beat. The food was unbelievably good. Best guac I've had in years, flautas were also amazing, as were the birria tacos. I don't even like refried beans and I loved the ones that came with my meal! I also had a Paloma, which was great. You can't go wrong here. It was packed on a Friday night!

Israel was our waiter. From the moment we walked in to then moment we left he was very very kind, amazing, and welcomed us like family. The food was stellar. We ordered the beef birria,lamb birria, queso fundido, horchata and Piña aguas frescas. My wife and I are from out of State foodies and we were in search of the best birria in Salt Lake if not Utah and we found it. Hands down. Come for the incredible atmosphere and wait staff. Stay for the food. Couldn't say enough about this experience. Israel and ALL the staff needs a raise!! Clean, very very kind,and just so attentive. Thank you Salt Lake/ La Casa De Tamal ?
