[Im leaving my original review below for historic purposes but thought I 'd update: The bartender, Eric, has left Q. Im not impressed with replacements. Their mixing is fine, but lacking Eric 's personality and finesse. Also, the Happy Hour menu has become much less attractive: same items, less care and quality. Also, clientelle has become more snobby not the restaurant 's fault but nevertheless reeks of entitlement]. Yes, the happy hour and sushi here are well worth the visit, but what I really want to highlight is Eric, the bartender, who masterfully balances the limited but wonderfully crafted cocktail selections. The Cucumber Seji Smash is PERFECT for a hot summer day, the Scorched Orange is AWESOME for the colder months, and this pictured here, is his artisan creation, the Desert Rose (between salmon sashimi and nigori saki love the traditional earthenware serving carafe):
This is an amazing sushi spot. High quality fish, great service, and AMAZING atmosphere. Cocktails are great too.
I've been to a few highest sushi places lately. I have to say this is my absolute favorite. It's the first one that didn't disappoint. I feel like the quality of the food cannot be matched and while yes, it's a little pricey. It's absolutely worth it for what you're getting I tried this is meat platter and my favorite fish on there was absolutely the salmon. It was certainly the best thing I've had in a very long time. I also got the tuna pizza which was surprisingly amazing. It really was like a pizza and then they had this little turkey baster full of spicy wasabi, which was super fun, I also got a roll which I had to say was good not amazing just because it was heavy on the seaweed for me. My personal preference. and I also got the taco sampler and they were also delicious. One taco was a bit citrusy for my husband, but I really enjoyed it and the salmon one again was my favorite. Service was perfect who came out so quickly all of my sushi came out at once and I would've preferred to have come at one at a time so that it could be the freshest when I eat it, but that was probably my mistake for ordering everything at the same time The ambience was beautiful, but I have to say it was a bit modern for my taste and sort of Americanized for a Japanese restaurant
