Route 66 Diner - Wheatfeilds, az

Cute little 50's style diner on Route 66. Menu includes American food and New Mexican food. I had the Navajo taco that is basically a taco on fry bread, and it was great! Wife had a sopapilla with fry bread and it was delicious (little heavy on the beans though).

....closed. With no indication anywhere online that they would be.

There is good food! If you liked taste of the southwest the cook now works at this diner. Great service and atmosphere!

We dined here a year ago or so and loved it! But upon our return we found that it is closed and for sale...shame, was a good place with great food and friendly staff!

So disappointed this place is closed. I stopped by and they were no longer there. Best shakes ever with an authentic ‘50’s vibe.
