However, being only a short walk from our motel, we decided to give it a try. To our surprise, we found the place to be well-maintained, welcoming, and cozy. The service was excellent, and the food was served promptly, always delicious and at a generous portion size for the price. The menu had various themed evenings, and they offered both indoor and outdoor seating options (covered). We dined here multiple times during our two trips over the week and were extremely satisfied with each visit. The only minor issue we encountered was the insufficient signage for the restrooms, which may be improved with the current renovations. We will definitely return in the future.
The restaurant offers a great variety of dishes on their menu, as well as a selection of delicious wines. The bowl options were fantastic, with the choice to add meat or tofu. The service was excellent and the atmosphere had a modern pub feel.
I went to this restaurant for lunch with my coworkers and pre-ordered my meal. The menu indicated that the fish and chips were gluten-free, but when I received my order, I was only given a small grilled fish and a minuscule salad. There were no chips included. I had to inquire about the chips and was informed that they were not gluten-free. I was not offered any alternative. The salad bar also lacked proper labeling for those with food allergies, and the staff were unhelpful in suggesting suitable options. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience.
Being out of towners we thought the central pub hotel would be mediocre, but as it was a short walk from our motel we gave it a go and were pleasantly surprised that it was well maintained, inviting and cosy. The service was great, the...food came out promptly and was always very tasty and decent size for what you paid They do various theme nights on the menu and has both indoor and outdoor (covered) seating areas. We ate here several times on our two trips within the week we visited and were very happy with all experiences. The only bit of feedback I would give is the access to the toilets, probably needs better signage with the current renovations going on. Will definitely visit again in future.
There is not a great eating selection in Whyalla, but the Eyre Hotel having been re novated and run by one of the oldest hotel families in SA seemed a logical choice. Yes it is pub food, but good quality pub food We had 2...x fish and a porterhouse steak. Everyone enjoyed and said they would go back. The eating area is pleasant, the staff answered any questions and the food was delivered on time. Also a reasonable drinks list.
