Stroud's Bar - Wichita

My spouse and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary at Stroud's on August 28th, 2019. The service from the server and his trainee was exceptional. Although Stroud's is a bit expensive, the portion size and taste of the food exceeded our expectations.

The food was decent, but the prices were too high. The four of us spent over $60 on just 2 chicken dishes.

The $92 we spent on our meals last Sunday was definitely not worth it. The pork chops and chicken breast were fried in old grease, resulting in a darker and slightly burnt taste on one of our plates. The vegetables were extremely bland, the worst in Wichita. The service was mediocre at best. It seems like this restaurant has new owners as it was nothing like what we expected based on our research. We will never return, especially since we dine out every Sunday after church. What a disappointment. The local fast food chicken and catfish franchise is much better than this place. Save yourself the trouble and eat elsewhere.

We had never been before. We had a large party and the service was amazing but was disappointed in the food. For 8 people we only got 1 bowl of green beans for everyone, which was not enough. Also the chicken fried steak was extremely salty was unable to eat it. It was way too busy to even say anything to waitress. Thank you for the wonderful staff, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone or probably come back.

Service was great, food was better! We reserved our table the night before and our table was ready with no waiting. Cant wait to go back!
