The chips were terrible - some were burnt, some were uncooked, and others were chewy. The fish wasn't much better. I was so dissatisfied with the meal that I should have just thrown the £16 straight in the bin where the uneaten meals ended up.
Excellent food we will certainly visit again soon, the service was great, tables clean. You can park at the front or around the back. There is wide varied menu, definitely going again!
I go here about once or twice a week usually for a takeaway, I love the fish and my wife will not have fish from any other chippy, the staff are pleasant and friendly, had fish today and as usual it was great.
I go to this chip shop for dine-in dinner once a week and I have never had a bad meal. The prices are very competitive and the place is spotlessly clean, with very clean toilets. However, there is a deep step at the entrance, making it not wheelchair friendly. I find it humorous that the place is called "Mr. English", as both the men who work there are Polish, I believe.
I visited this restaurant for lunch today. I remember how amazing it used to be 5 years ago, but unfortunately, it has now gone downhill. The fish was cold and soggy, the chips were greasy and also soggy. I asked for peas and they were haphazardly thrown over the chips, making it look messy. The fish didn't even taste like cod. It's disappointing because I had brought a friend along, thinking it would be as good as it used to be. I will not be returning.
