Last night [Thursday, 10/26/23 my wife and I arrived at Duffinetti's Restaurant and Lounge around 6:45 PM with only six occupied tables besides ourselves. There was more than ample coverage for those seven tables with the three servers [two female/one male on duty at the time. We were seated by the hostess after a few minutes upon arrival who greeted us warmly while thanking us for coming in because the crowd was so small and they obviously needed our business. Within a few minutes more, we each received a glass of water from the bus person. However, we waited at least 25 more minutes while all three servers completely ignored us, never making eye contact, especially the waitress at the table right next to us. At the same time this was going on, I was looking ahead on my phone for another Italian restaurant in the area that was open during the week. Then, my wife looked at me and said, “’let’s go”, which was exactly what I was thinking and preparing for. As we were walking out, the hostess was nowhere to be found to apprise her what had just transpired, which is the very purpose of this unfavorable review. When we arrived at Joey M’s La Piazza Cucina Restaurant, we were welcomed with open arms and received immediate as well as attentive service. The server made us aware that the Early Bird menu on Thursdays was available all evening throughout the off season. After a delicious, four-course meal that was a bargain to boot, it turned out to be a fortuitous night after all! [Not to be confused, the image below was from Joey M's. The food at this place is very good in the services excellent! It has a very nice bar so you can hang out and listen to the live music.
